NatureHeal

Empowering women’s workforce reintegration through biophilic learning

Supporting Recovery Through Nature-Connected

NatureHeal is a European initiative supporting women aged 30 and over recovering from women-specific cancers. Through biophilic learning approaches, we strengthen emotional wellbeing, build confidence, and support workforce reintegration across Spain, Serbia, and Türkiye.

Our programme combines nature-inspired environments with practical adult education tools, creating supportive spaces where women can rebuild motivation, develop resilience, and prepare for their return to work with renewed purpose.

This project is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme (KA210-ADU). Views and opinions expressed are those of the partners only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union.

What is Nature Heal?

NatureHeal is an Erasmus+ Adult Education project specifically designed to support women aged 30 and over who are recovering from cancers targeting women. Our innovative approach uses biophilic learning principles to strengthen emotional wellbeing, rebuild motivation, and restore confidence during the crucial transition back to the workforce.

By connecting with nature-inspired environments and practices, participants discover supportive pathways that honour their recovery journey whilst preparing them for meaningful professional reintegration.

Why Biophilic Learning?

Biophilic learning connects education with nature, recognising our innate human need for natural environments. Research shows that nature-connected approaches reduce stress, improve focus, enhance motivation, and create supportive learning atmospheres4 essential benefits for women navigating recovery and workforce reintegration.

Reduced Stress

Natural environments lower cortisol levels and promote relaxation, supporting emotional healing.

Increased Motivation

Connection with nature restores energy and inspires engagement with learning and growth.

Better Focus

Nature-inspired spaces improve concentration and cognitive function for effective learning.

Supportive Environments

Biophilic settings create welcoming, safe spaces that honour recovery journeys.

"When we learn in harmony with nature, we reconnect with our capacity for growth, resilience, and renewal."
